Your home away from home on this adventure will be the M/V Belize Aggressor IV. At 138 feet (42m) in length, with a beam of 26 feet (8m) and a draft of 8 feet (2.4m), displacing 371 gross tons, she is the largest vessel to travel to the Silver Bank. Originally built for offshore service, this impressive boat is solidly built and kind in her sea keeping manners. With safety always in mind, the M/V Belize Aggressor IV fully complies with all international regulations governing safety equipment, personnel, training and watch keeping.
The M/V Belize Aggressor IV is outfitted with a complete line of modern marine electronics including GPS (Global Positioning System) receivers, VHF (short range) and SSB (long range) radios, radar, echo depth sounder, weather fax, auto pilot, satellite telephone, and EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon).
She features a total of four decks, including three passenger decks. All decks are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed, with air conditioning in all interior areas. Interior areas are well lit by picture windows so the whale watching doesn’t have to stop just because you are indoors!
M/V Belize Aggressor IV sleeps a maximum of 18 guests in nine staterooms all located on the Main Deck. There are two Master Staterooms, each with a single queen-sized bed, which makes them ideal for couples; and seven Deluxe Staterooms, configurable with either two twin beds or one king-sized bed, ideal for singles or couples alike. Every stateroom has en suite facilities, individual climate controls, picture windows and flat screen TV with DVD players. They also provide a mirrored cabinet, wardrobe, bathrobes, hairdryer, toiletries, and fresh towels daily. Electricity throughout is 110 volts AC, provided from US style outlets.
The aft portion of the Main Deck comprises a spacious Dive Deck featuring two freshwater showers, fresh towels, and separate rinse tanks for cameras and snorkel gear. For the photographer, there are two large camera tables, and each guest has their own dedicated gear station. Wet suits can be hung on the ample hangers provided.
The Lido Deck is the location of the spacious main salon. With air conditioning and picture windows, the salon is a delightful place to relax, with comfortable seating for the entire party. This is where guests will enjoy their meals, and is the venue of various presentations, gatherings and discussions throughout the week. The salon hosts a bar, and is equipped with a complete entertainment center featuring a 50″ flat screen TV.
The aft portion of the Lido Deck offers a spacious alfresco seating area. This is a comfortable place for guests to relax and watch for whales when not aboard the whale boats. The Lido Deck is one of the settings of our sundowner celebrations each evening.
The Sky Deck is located on the highest level of the vessel. The Sky Deck feels almost as large as a tennis court and offers a bar and seating with open and covered areas with chaise lounges and benches for guests to relax and soak up the sun or enjoy the refreshing sea breeze in the shade. The high elevation of the Sky Deck makes it the ideal vantage point for whale watching by day and is one of the settings of our sundowner celebrations each evening and spectacular star gazing by night.
With a professional and experienced crew of six plus two Conscious Breath Adventures staff, the M/V Belize Aggressor IV has a high crew to passenger ratio and is proud to offer a menu that can include choices for almost all dietary needs (with prior advisement). The chef aboard is continually refining his art and the menu and utilizes fresh and local products whenever possible.
The day starts with a hearty breakfast offering hot and cold selections. Lunch is a buffet with indoor or alfresco dining, while between meals and while aboard the whale boats, guests will have ample snacks available to keep them satisfied. The evening meal is a delicious full service four course dinner. In addition, there is an assortment of beverages available, including water, coffee, tea, juices and sodas. A selection of wine and local beer is also provided at no additional cost.
